Here at Olivari we believe the little things are everything, especially when it comes to cooking. That’s why we’re sharing a collection of little tips, tricks and innovations that we’ve tested in our own kitchens. We hope they make a little-but-big difference in your culinary adventures, too.
Take the dregs from a jar of your favorite chocolate spread. Pour in some warm milk. Then screw the lid on and shake it up, shake a leg, maybe even give it two shakes of lamb’s tail (then apologize to the lamb). Pour into your favorite mug for the best hot chocolate you can shake a stick at.
Innovating on the traditional spaghetti and meatballs, we’re going to go next-level on noodles with this simple recipe. First, turn on your oven to 350. Second, split a spaghetti squash in half, coat a pan with Olivari Olive Oil and then lay the squash face-side down. Third, cook the squash until the meat
is tender. Once tender (and cooled down a bit), shred the spaghetti squash into thin noodles with a fork. Finally, serve with a drizzle of Olivari Olive Oil plus your favorite sauce and meatballs.
This happy hour, impress your friends with this innovative cocktail recipe.
.5 oz Dry Vermouth
1 oz Gin
A few fresh olives
A few drops of Olivari Extra Virgin Olive Oil
First, infuse the Vermouth by combining it with the fresh olives and letting sit for a few minutes. Second, grab a mixing glass filled with ice, pour the infused Vermouth and gin into it, then stir until chilled. Third, pour the mixture into a chilled glass and splash a few drops of Olivari Extra Virgin Olive Oil on top. Fourth, drink that delightful concoction.
It’s easy to keep your fresh herbs super fresh. Simply add your favorite herbs to an empty ice cube tray. Pour Olivari Olive Oil on top of them.
Then place the ice cube tray in the freezer. Finally, pop out an herb cube for cooking whenever you need it. It’s a quick and easy base. It’s also a quick and easy way for incredible flavors.
When life gives you lemons, make frozen lemon slices for perfectly chilled drinks on a hot day. Simply take a lemon, slice it up, then place the slices in the freezer for several hours. Then throw a
lemon slice (or two, or three) into your favorite beverage for the most refreshing drink ever.
Making delicious, lip-smacking-good mayo is surprisingly easy. All you need are eggs, Olivari Olive Oil, a squeeze of lemon and some dill. Throw all ingredients into a glass, and combine with an immersion blender. Then start mmmming. We know mmmming isn’t a real word but just go with it. Trust us.
To check whether your eggs are good or bad, take a glass of water. Then place the eggs in the water. If the eggs sink to the bottom, they’re good. If they float to the top, throw those bad eggs out the door. Or out the window. Or maybe just in the garbage can. Yeah. That might be best.
To make the flavors of summer last a little longer, take a couple pints of your favorite cherry tomatoes. Mix them with garlic and fresh herbs. Then roast them low and slow in the oven for several hours. Place the roasted tomatoes in a glass jar and submerge in a healthy pour of Olivari Extra Virgin Oil. Then enjoy these little concentrated flavor explosions for up to two weeks after refrigerating.
It’s easy to keep it together, at least when it comes to grilling fish. Simply make a bed of lemon slices on the grill, then tuck your favorite fish in right on top of it. You’ll be sure to keep your fish from sticking to the grill and falling apart. You’ll also be sure to make your meal a whole lot tastier, too.
